WORK - BASED LEARNING
CREATIVE COLLABORATION

EMPOWERING OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE THROUGH REGIONAL INNOVATION AND COLLABORATION

At our core, we are dedicated to fostering opportunities and guiding our students towards a bright future. Through innovative practices and strong regional partnerships, we equip Kansas’ future workforce with the essential tools, resources and skills they need to become successful adults.

Work-Based Learning includes a continuum of awareness, exploration and preparation that combines an individual’s career goals, structured learning, and authentic work experiences implemented through sustained partnership with Kansas Businesses/Industries.

Participate in the Work-Based Learning Creative Collaboration facilitated by KANSASWORKS’ Intermediaries to share best practices, brainstorm, and share ideas with other educators and instructors across Southeast Kansas. Help us grow this initiative and share the Collaboration Meetings with colleagues/friends from other schools and districts to expand our reach and develop the best programs and services for our students and future Kansas workforce talent!

Nadia has been with KANSASWORKS Southeast since January 2022 and has an extensive background working with children and young adults. Starting her professional journey with Parks and Recreation, Nadia found happiness in educating and inspiring adolescents to explore their passions and to always seek answers to their “why’s”. Nadia loves channeling her creativity and curiosity into her role in Youth Workforce Development by crafting new curriculum to meet the needs of any audience.

Nadia is a proud pet parent and loves to talk about her animals; to satisfy some of her extracurricular passions, she spends much of her free time volunteering: sitting on two local advisory boards and sharing ecological education at the David Traylor Zoo as a docent.
